Number Sixteen

We embraced the challenge of designing a contemporary family home in heritage listed Berrima Village, NSW and complying with Council’s prescriptive planning controls which calls for “Georgian” style architecture throughout the village. Our response was to give the street its Georgian Cottage, then transition to a beautiful composition of barns, galleries and gardens as the house stepped up to the rear of the site. Our client is a talented interior designer, so the end result is a truly special family home which sits comfortably in its heritage context, but creates a collection of beautiful, contemporary spaces for a young family to thrive in.
